Job Summary
We are seeking a Lead Software Engineer to drive the end-to-end delivery of investment operations technology solutions. This role requires a hands-on technical leader with strong domain expertise in fixed income or capital markets, capable of building, integrating, and optimizing complex financial systems.
The ideal candidate is a pragmatic builder who can lead execution, collaborate closely with business stakeholders, and deliver scalable, production-grade solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of operations technology solutions across investment platforms
- Design, build, and integrate investment operations systems and data pipelines
- Own and manage vendor and internal system integrations
- Partner closely with business, product, and operations teams to translate requirements into technical solutions
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams
- Drive execution discipline, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery
- Implement automation initiatives and support selective AI-driven efficiency improvements
- Ensure robust, scalable solutions aligned with enterprise standards
Required Qualifications
- 8 years of software engineering experience
- Strong domain expertise in Fixed Income / Capital Markets (mandatory)
- Hands-on backend development experience with Python or Java
- Proven experience working with complex financial systems and data integrations
- Demonstrated experience as a Tech Lead (not just a Senior IC)
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work effectively in an onsite enterprise environment
Preferred Experience
- Experience in middle-office or back-office systems
- Exposure to trade processing, position management, or operations data flows
- Background in integration-heavy engineering environments
- Experience leading small teams or engineering pods in production settings
- Familiarity with manufacturing-style execution discipline in engineering environments
