Position Summary
Harvey Browne Presbyterian Church is looking for a dependable full-time church sexton to oversee the care, cleanliness, and general maintenance of our buildings and grounds. The sexton ensures that our facilities remain a safe, welcoming, and orderly environment for our congregation, staff, and community. Key Responsibilities
- Facility maintenance – minor repairs, cleaning, and preventive maintenance inside & outside the church
- Set-up & Events – Prepare rooms for weekly worship services, meetings and events
- Security & Access - Open and close the facility, manage basic security protocols, and check doors, windows and alarm systems
- Groundskeeping - Mow, weed, and keep entrances & walkways clear of litter, debris, and snow
- Work with outside vendors
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience in general building maintenance
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), climb ladders and stand/walk for extended periods.
- High level of integrity, dependability, and a respectful demeanor when interacting with church members, visitors, and staff.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule.

Pay: $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35.0 – 40.0 per week
