What are the responsibilities and job description for the Middle School Associate position at Graceland Church?
Position Summary
At Graceland Church, the Middle School Associate- New Albany campus will be responsible for the oversight and leadership of all Middle School ministry at New Albany campus. They will report directly to the Student Minister-New Albany campus and the Family Minster regarding vision, strategy, skill development, people, logistics and quality. They will oversee any staff/volunteers that serve in Middle School ministry at their campus
Essential Responsibilities
Yourself
- Grow personally and professionally

Team
- Recruit/develop/empower volunteers to lead out in ministry
- Communicate expectations and schedules and train your volunteer team regularly
Parents/Families
- Build relationships with parents of middle school students
- Have regular coffee/lunch meetings with parents
- Communicate on a regular basis with parents about events/programs/other pertinent information
Students
- Build relationships with middle students
- Attend occasional student games/events/programs outside of church
- Communicate on a regular basis with students about events/programs/other pertinent information
Programs/Events
- Plan and execute Sunday morning and MDWK programs
- Plan and execute New Albany specific student events
- Be active on the student ministry campuses team in planning and executing student events and trips that are multicampus or allcampus
Admin
- Track attendance and growth steps in middle school ministry
- Follow up with students and create/work processes to help student ministry grow deep and wide
- Help and speak to New Albany student budget alongside New Albany student pastor
- Regularly evaluate events/programs/overall ministry to identify problems and create plans to course correct
Physical Demands
- Must be physically able to complete the duties of the position. Possess visual acuity, manual dexterity, ability to hear, stand, walk, sit, bend, lift and carry between 1020 pounds. Physical demand requirements are at levels of those for sedentary to medium work. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties.
