Job Summary

This role performs laboratory-scale sample generation, testing, and evaluation to support customer technical programs, product and process research, and manufacturing activities. The role also supports equipment maintenance, process scale-up, technical troubleshooting, and timely delivery of accurate results.
Job Description
- Generate and evaluate lab-scale samples for customer technical programs, research projects, and manufacturing support.
- Conduct testing and property evaluations and provide relevant information for technical decisions.
- Troubleshoot, operate, and maintain laboratory and production-support equipment.
- Support routine processing, property evaluation, and machine-scale-up activities.
- Maintain accurate laboratory logs, notebooks, computer records, and other required documentation.
- Conduct internet and technical information searches to support problem-solving activities.
- Perform stoichiometric calculations using computer programs or manual calculations.
- Communicate results and technical information in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, research, and other technical teams.
- Interact directly with customers when required.
- Manage multiple tasks and work effectively with multiple technical supervisors.
- Follow all applicable EHS, SOP, and Responsible Care requirements.
Skills Required
- 1–3 years of laboratory, technical, manufacturing, or related experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical and stoichiometric calculations.
- Good equipment troubleshooting and maintenance skills.
- Strong documentation and recordkeeping skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively with technical, manufacturing, research, and customer-facing teams.
- Good computer skills and ability to use technical software.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, timely results.
Education/Training/Certifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Relevant education or training in chemistry, chemical engineering, laboratory science, materials science, or a related technical field preferred.
- Training in laboratory safety, EHS, SOPs, and Responsible Care practices is preferred.
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to pass drug screenings and criminal background checks.
- Start Time: 07:00 AM
- Must be able to work safely in a laboratory and manufacturing-support environment.
- Must follow all EHS, SOP, and Responsible Care rules, regulations, and guidelines.
- Ability to work with more than one technical supervisor and across multiple functions.
- Ability to provide timely and accurate results to support product quality and customer requirements.
Pay Rate/Salary
- Estimated Salary: $16.51 to $24.51 per hour. Compensation will be offered within this posted range based on experience, skills, and market factors.
