Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly, provide menus, and answer questions about food and drink options with enthusiasm.
- Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring special requests are noted.
- Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness.
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities.
- Manage guest relations by addressing concerns promptly, ensuring a positive dining experience from start to finish.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling, cashiering, and processing payments through POS systems like OpenTable or similar platforms.
- Maintain sanitation standards by adhering to food safety protocols, proper food handling, and sanitation practices throughout your shift.
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant experience with a strong background in food service or hospitality preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms is highly desirable.
- Experience in fine dining environments or nightclubs is a plus.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation procedures, and basic math for bill calculations.
- Ability to perform food preparation tasks such as bussing tables or assisting in kitchen areas if needed.
- Host/hostess experience or previous serving roles that demonstrate guest relations expertise is advantageous.
