Harvest Healthcare Solutions is hiring a part-time Billing Specialist!
We are seeking a detail-oriented Billing Specialist with at least one year of direct billing experience through the Partnership HealthPlan (PHC) provider portal, including the use of ETAR (Electronic Treatment Authorization Request) software. This position focuses specifically on billing for Enhanced Care Management (ECM) and Community Supports (CS) services.
The Billing Specialist is responsible for ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant submission of claims, maintaining documentation and spreadsheets, and collaborating with care teams to support service alignment and reimbursement accuracy.
Compensation begins at $26.00 per hour and is commensurate with experience. This is a part-time, remote opportunity
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit monthly ECM/CS billing through the Partnership HealthPlan provider portal, including ETAR entries when required.
- Maintain detailed and up-to-date billing spreadsheets tracking services rendered, claims submitted, and payments received.
- Ensure all billed services are supported by required documentation and comply with PHC guidelines and authorization requirements.
- Generate and send monthly billing reports to leadership for internal review and approval before submission.
- Reconcile submitted claims and payments, investigate discrepancies, and correct or resubmit as needed.
- Stay current with PHC billing policies, updates, and Medi-Cal managed care billing requirements.
- Collaborate with the care management team to ensure services billed match those documented and delivered.
- Support audits and data validation as needed by leadership or external parties.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of billing experience using the Partnership HealthPlan provider portal (REQUIRED).
- Proficient with ECM and CS billing processes, including understanding of associated codes and documentation requirements.
- Experience using the ETAR portal/software for treatment authorization and billing support.
- Strong Excel skills (or similar spreadsheet tools) for data tracking, pivot tables, and reconciliation tasks.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to meet strict monthly deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Preferred: Experience with Medi-Cal managed care and community-based care coordination models.
