EDI & Systems Analyst

POSITION DESCRIPTION

SUMMARY

At Harvest Food Group (HFG), we exist to make products that make the world a better place.  HFG is a private equity backed company headquartered in Naperville IL, with a production facility located in Chicago IL, moving to East Chicago, IN 1Q2026.

The EDI & Systems Analyst plays a key role in supporting and optimizing our ERP (Plex) and related IT systems. This position manages electronic data interchange (EDI) processes, builds and maintains Plex reports, assists with ERP troubleshooting, and contributes to ongoing process development. The Analyst will collaborate with internal stakeholders, external partners, and third-party providers to ensure smooth operations, accurate data flow, and continuous improvement of systems and processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• EDI Management
  • Manage onboarding of new EDI partners, including mapping, testing and certification
  • Monitor and resolve EDI errors, ensuring timely data flow between trading partners and internal systems
  • Support special EDI circumstances requiring solutions beyond Plex, utilizing GR Tech project management tools and custom portals
  • Oversee and maintain the 3PL EDI add-on feature through the GR Tech portal
  • Conduct EDI testing and recertification for compliance and accuracy
• ERP (Plex) Support and Development
  • Build, modify and troubleshoot Plex reports, including VisionPlex and SQL-based reporting
  • Assist with Plex-related user issues, providing timely troubleshooting and resolution
  • Explore new Plex features and recommend opportunities for process or functionality improvements
  • Develop and maintain Plex work instructions, user guides, and training documents
  • Support price uploading, validation, and other transactional processes in Plex
  • Collaborate on Plex process development and optimization projects
• Systems and Project Support
  • Assist with IT and system-related project management tasks as assigned
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to identify system gaps and develop solutions
  • Maintain accurate documentation of systems, processes, and project progress
• Other duties as assigned

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience with ERP systems (Plex preferred)
• Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Business or related field, or equivalent job/industry experience
• Strong understanding of EDI processes, standards, and trading partner management
• Proficiency in SQL for report building and troubleshooting
• Familiarity with 3PL systems and integration
• Previous project management experience a plus
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail and process accuracy

Salary : $80,000 - $90,000
