In this role, you will assist lead teachers in creating a safe, engaging, and educational environment for children across various age groups, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. Duties
- Support lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans that promote childhood development and early learning skills
- Assist with supervising children during activities, playtime, meals, naps, and outdoor excursions to ensure safety at all times
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities that encourage social interaction, creativity, and cognitive growth
- Help maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that adheres to health and safety standards
- Observe and document children’s progress, behaviors, and needs to inform teaching strategies and parent communication
- Support classroom management by implementing behavior management techniques and promoting positive interactions among children
- Assist with basic caregiving tasks such as diapering, feeding, and comforting children as needed
Skills
- Must have experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying or similar settings
- Knowledge of classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members and engaging with parents
- Demonstrated patience, compassion, energy, and a proactive attitude toward caregiving and teaching responsibilities
