What are the responsibilities and job description for the Child Care Assistant Teacher position at Mimi's Daycare 2?
Do you love interacting, playing and teaching children? Mimi's Daycare 2 is seeking motivated persons with the mindset necessary to help nurture and shape little minds, in a positive manner.
Hiring position: Full-time 4-5 days per week or Part-time; 2-3 days a week. Hours of operation may include Monday-Friday; between the times of 7 am-5 pm. Flexible scheduling is possible. Experience with child care is preferred but not necessary.
Applicants must not have any misdemeanors or felonies and willing to undergo fingerprinting and background check. Applicants must be drug and alcohol free; including recreational and prescribed control substances, which could impair their ability to function and/or make safe decisions. Applicants should be of age but a volunteer program is available for anyone who is not of age.
Starting salary for all employees will be based upon education level as determined by your Registry Level. Movement within the salary structure will be determined based on experience, years of service, Registry Level and Job Title.
All WV child care providers must be willing to complete at least 12 clock hours of training per year, which may include CPR, First Aid, Basic Health and Safety or other state mandatory training. These will all be paid by Mimi's Daycare.

- Create a safe and nurturing environment for children in the daycare setting.
- Help to plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote early childhood development.
- Supervise and engage with children during playtime and learning sessions.
- Monitor children's behavior and address any issues with effective behavior management strategies.
- Maintain open communication with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including first aid readiness.
- Meal prep and standard cleaning /sanitizing.
Pay: $10.00 - $14.00 per hour
