Position Title: Middle School Math and Science Teacher
Grade Levels: 5th- 8th Grade

Position Summary
Harvest Christian Academy is seeking a passionate, dedicated, and Christ-centered Middle School Math and Science Teacher to educate and inspire students in grades 5 through 8. The teacher will create a positive, engaging, and academically challenging classroom environment that supports students’ spiritual, academic, social, and emotional growth. The ideal candidate will integrate biblical principles into instruction while fostering a love for learning and critical thinking.
Essential Responsibilities
Teach middle school Math and Science courses for grades 5–8 in accordance with school curriculum and academic standards.
Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the educational needs of diverse learners.
Integrate biblical worldview and Christian values into classroom instruction and daily interactions.
Maintain a structured, respectful, and positive classroom environment conducive to learning.
Assess student progress through assignments, projects, quizzes, tests, and classroom participation.
Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress, behavior, and academic needs.
Utilize a variety of instructional strategies, technology, and hands-on learning experiences to enhance student understanding.
Participate in faculty meetings, professional development opportunities, school events, and parent conferences.
Collaborate with administration and fellow teachers to support student success and school initiatives.
Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student performance.
Encourage students’ spiritual development through prayer, devotion, and Christ-like example.
Supervise students during assigned duties and extracurricular activities as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in education, Mathematics, Science, or a related field required.
Valid teaching certification is preferred.
Previous teaching experience with middle school students preferred.
Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
Ability to effectively teach both Math and Science concepts to middle school students.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to the mission, values, and Christian philosophy of Harvest Christian Academy.
Ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, and families.
Demonstrates professionalism, integrity, and a servant-hearted attitude. .
Work Schedule
Full-time position following the Harvest Christian Academy academic calendar and school hours.
Additional hours may be required for meetings, school events, conferences, and professional development activities.
Job Types: Contract, Full-time
Pay: $30,000.00 - $38,000.00 per year
