Role Description The High School History Teacher is a full-time, on-site role located in Lantana, FL. This educator will plan and deliver engaging history lessons that integrate a Christian worldview and align with the school’s curriculum standards. Daily responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, teaching classes, facilitating discussions, assessing student progress, maintaining accurate records, and providing timely feedback. The teacher will collaborate with colleagues, communicate regularly with families, participate in faculty meetings and professional development, and contribute to school events and extracurricular activities. The role also involves creating a classroom environment that promotes respect, critical thinking, and a love of learning, while supporting the mission and values of Harvest Christian Academy.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated knowledge of U.S. and world history content, instructional methods, and curriculum design for high school learners.
- Ability to create clear lesson plans, use varied teaching strategies, and differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
- Strong classroom management, organizational skills, and capacity to maintain a positive, structured learning environment.
