What are the responsibilities and job description for the Church Administrative Assistant position at Harvest Bible Chapel?
Summary of Primary Purpose:
This position provides administrative and operational support to the Campus Pastor by coordinating, organizing, and tracking campus-wide needs and initiatives. The role ensures accurate, timely, and consistent communication across campus operations, and assists in locating, maintaining, and distributing information to support campus leadership, congregants, and volunteers. The position plays a key role in maintaining effective processes and supporting the overall functionality of the campus.
Scope of role:
Supports Hub campus >500 members
Essential Roles & Responsibilities, included but not limited to:
- Oversee and manage various camps specific needs
- Support projects and/or programs, and partner closely with other ministries to ensure consistent applications, communication and processes are being followed
- Connect with congregants and provide direction to proper ministry for assistance or needs (e.g. benevolence/Care, community groups, etc.)
- Assist in the execution of campus services and events and manage events
- Ensure events follow required policy and procedure expectations (e.g. insurance requirements, Facility Use Policy, etc.)
- Ensure events are aligned to budget expectations
- Schedule is non-traditional work hours (includes weekends and evenings)

- Ability to pray with other employees, guests and attendees of the church

- Strong communication & listening skills (verbal and written)
- Highly organized and the ability to prioritize changing needs for the campus
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to meet deadlines and respond quickly to congregant needs
- Highly interpersonal, displaying hospitality with a positive demeanor
- Ability to work independently and cooperatively as a member of a team
- Ability to build rapport and communicate with diplomacy and tact; displays a servant heart
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5 years’ experience working in a highly organized and administrative environment
Salary Information
