The Department of Pathology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) is recruiting a per-diem Clinical Chemist. Recent fellowship graduates and mid-career/senior physicians are strongly encouraged to apply. BIDMC is a tertiary care facility with 743 licensed beds and an internationally renowned principal teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School with NCI Comprehensive Cancer Center-affiliated Cancer Center.
We are seeking a per-diem Clinical Chemist to provide night and weekend coverage for the clinical chemistry laboratory. Eligible candidates for this position must have a PhD (with board certification in Clinical Chemistry).
Experience in toxicology, clinical chemistry immunoassays, and automated chemistry is required.
Job Responsibilities include:
Respond to after-hours/weekend call from laboratory and/or covering CP resident and/or clinical physicians
Review and approve QC
Review and approve reagent cross checks
Review and enter HIV patient results
