A CNC Machine Tool Application Engineer contributes to the success of Hartwig by working hand-in-hand with our Sales team to provide support and be a technical resource to ensure customer satisfaction. The customers we serve are in a variety of industries and rely on the Hartwig team to provide the best manufacturing solutions and support the machine tool industry. This full-time position is based in the Kansas City, MO area.The main responsibilities include:Evaluating manufacturing processes and recommending industry-leading solutionsDeveloping and testing alternative processing methodsPerforming time studies for process improvement recommendationsOverseeing machine installationsConducting research and assisting in presenting proposals to customersPerforming on-site programming and machine operation training for customersFacilitating customer demonstrations by setting up and programming machine toolsRequired SkillsIndividuals who ideally fit this role should meet the following qualifications:Two-year degree in manufacturing engineering - preferredExperience in machining process development, project management and CNC programming preferredOkuma machine programming experience - preferredAbility to demonstrate knowledge and application of machine tool products, options and functionsStrong mechanical and technical aptitudeExcellent interpersonal skills, such as collaboration, listening, respect and work ethic, which lead to lasting and trusting relationships with team members and customersAbility to work collaboratively with sales team to provide customer solutionsThe Organization, The Team and Our BenefitsHartwig's team of over 200 professionals throughout the U.S. is dedicated to helping manufacturers control and power the growth of their business.
