What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Service Engineer CNC Repair position at Hartwig?
A Field Service Engineer contributes to the success of Hartwig by keeping our customers' CNC machine tools running at peak operating levels by performing repairs. The customers we serve are in a variety of industries and rely on our team to repair, inspect and troubleshoot their equipment.
Main responsibilities of this full-time role based in Kansas City, MO include:
- Conducts high quality, efficient and timely repair and installation of CNC machines
- Uses software and electrical tools to find damaged work parts and identifies permanent solutions to repair CNC machines and accessories
- Recommend modifications and improvements to CNC machines, equipment and processes
- Trains and instructs customers on service, repair and proper installation
- Traveling to customer sites, usually within 3 hours from home, with occasional overnight travel
- Ability to complete necessary tasks in our service software and timecard system on a daily basis
Qualifying Skills:
Individuals who ideally fit this role should meet the following qualifications:
- 4 years of demonstrated mechanical and electrical experience
- Experience repairing CNC machines (Preferred)
- Formal education or training in troubleshooting, repair and installation of CNC Machines (Preferred)
- Ability to work independently, a go getter that finds the next customer that needs our help
- Good driving record and valid driver's license to ensure fleet vehicle insurability
- Dependable time management
