Position Overview:

As an Outdoor Living Sales Team Member, you will play a key role in assisting customers with their outdoor living needs. This includes providing product recommendations, offering expert advice, and ensuring an exceptional shopping experience within the outdoor living department.

Responsibilities:

• Customer Assistance:
  • Greet and assist customers in the outdoor living department with enthusiasm and product knowledge.
  • Provide personalized recommendations for outdoor furniture, grills, patio accessories, and related products.
• Product Knowledge:
  • Develop a deep understanding of outdoor living products, including features, benefits, and maintenance requirements.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, new product releases, and advancements in outdoor living technology.
• Sales and Upselling:
  • Effectively communicate product features and benefits to customers.
  • Upsell and cross-sell additional outdoor living products to enhance customers' experiences.
• Merchandising and Displays:
  • Ensure that the outdoor living department is well-organized, clean, and visually appealing.
  • Collaborate with the merchandising team to create eye-catching displays that showcase featured products.
• Customer Service:
  • Address customer inquiries and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
  • Assist with product returns, exchanges, and warranty-related issues.
• Inventory Management:
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate with the inventory control team to restock products.
  • Conduct regular checks for damaged or defective merchandise and initiate necessary actions.
• Team Collaboration:
  • Work closely with other team members, including sales associates, customer service representatives, and management.
  • Collaborate with vendors and manufacturers to stay informed about new products and industry developments.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in retail sales, preferably in outdoor living or home improvement.
• Strong product knowledge and enthusiasm for outdoor living products including grills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet sales targets.
• Basic computer skills for point-of-sale transactions and product information retrieval.

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Job Particulars
Part-time averaging 20-28 hours.
Must be willing to work evenings until 7pm and Saturdays - we are closed on Sunday.
Must be able to lift 60 lbs continuously.
Must be able and willing to climb up on an 8’ ladder.
