POSITION OVERVIEW

As an Outdoor Living Sales Team Member, you will play a key role in helping guests create the outdoor spaces they love. From grills to patio furniture and accessories, you will offer product recommendations, share expert advice, and make every visit to our outdoor living department an exceptional shopping experience.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

GUEST ASSISTANCE

• Greet and assist guests in the outdoor living department with enthusiasm and product knowledge
• Provide personalized recommendations for outdoor furniture, grills, patio accessories, and related products

PRODUCT KNOWLEDGE

• Develop a deep understanding of outdoor living products, including features, benefits, and maintenance requirements
• Stay informed about industry trends, new product releases, and advancements in outdoor living technology

SALES

• Clearly communicate product features and benefits to guests
• Recommend complementary products that enhance each guest's outdoor living experience

MERCHANDISING AND DISPLAYS

• Keep the outdoor living department well organized, clean, and visually appealing
• Collaborate with the merchandising team to create eye-catching displays that showcase featured products

GUEST SERVICE

• Address guest questions and concerns in a professional and timely manner
• Assist with product returns, exchanges, and warranty-related issues

INVENTORY MANAGEMENT

• Monitor inventory levels and communicate with the inventory control team to restock products
• Conduct regular checks for damaged or defective merchandise and take appropriate action

TEAM COLLABORATION

• Work closely with fellow sales team members, guest service representatives, and management
• Connect with vendors and manufacturers to stay informed about new products and industry developments

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Previous retail sales experience, preferably in outdoor living or home improvement
• Strong product knowledge and enthusiasm for outdoor living products, including grills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet sales goals
• Basic computer skills for point-of-sale transactions and product information lookup
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Availability to work evenings and Saturdays
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. continuously
• Ability and willingness to climb an 8-foot ladder
