Job Summary
Reporting to - Applied AI & Insights Manager
Hartree Partners is seeking an AI Enablement Analyst to support the delivery of AI-powered analytics and workflow automation across Treasury and FP&A using our proprietary Agentic AI platform.
This role is focused on embedding AI into established finance workflows - including liquidity reporting, forecasting, management reporting, and executive analytics. The business requirements and reporting expectations are generally well defined; your role will be to work closely with Treasury and FP&A stakeholders to translate those requirements into reliable, production-ready AI agents and automated processes.
This is a prompt engineering and AI workflow enablement role, not a traditional software development position. It is ideal for candidates who have worked in Treasury, FP&A, trading finance, or finance technology roles and want to modernize finance processes through structured AI systems.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Partner directly with Treasury and FP&A stakeholders to deliver AI-enabled analytics aligned to established reporting and forecasting needs.
- Translate fixed or recurring business requirements into structured agent workflows, prompts, and evaluation frameworks within Hartree’s proprietary Agentic AI platform.
- Support the development of AI agents focused on:
-Liquidity and cash positioning analysis
-Short- and medium-term cash flow forecasting
-Debt and capital structure reporting
-Budget vs. forecast tracking
-Variance analysis and commentary drafting
-Executive and Board-ready financial summaries
- Refine prompt design and agent logic to ensure outputs are accurate, controlled, and aligned with finance governance standards.
- Help automate recurring workflows tied to monthly close, forecast updates, treasury reporting cycles, and management packs.
- Conduct structured testing and validation to ensure AI outputs meet accuracy and reliability expectations.
- Maintain documentation and support adoption across Treasury and FP&A teams.
Requirements: education, competencies & skills
- 2–4 years of experience in:
-Treasury
-FP&A
-Trading Finance / Product Control
-Finance Systems / Finance IT supporting finance teams
- Strong understanding of:
-Financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
-Cash flow forecasting and liquidity management
-Budgeting and forecasting cycles
-Variance analysis and executive reporting
- High proficiency in Excel and comfort working with structured financial data.
- Ability to work directly with Finance stakeholders in a structured, deadline-driven environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, Math, Computer Science, or related.
Preferred Requirements
- Experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, AI agents, or workflow automation tools.
- Prior exposure to treasury systems, ERP platforms, or financial consolidation tools.
- Experience automating recurring finance processes (close cycles, forecast refreshes, reconciliations).
- Python or scripting experience used for analytics or automation (helpful but not required).
- Demonstrated experience building or experimenting with GPTs or structured AI workflows.
What Success Looks Like
- Treasury reporting (liquidity, exposures, funding views) becomes more automated and consistently delivered.
- FP&A variance analysis and management commentary generation is faster and less manually intensive.
- Finance stakeholders trust AI outputs because they are structured, repeatable, and aligned with defined reporting standards. The proprietary Agentic AI platform is used as a production-grade tool, not an experimental add-on.
