Job Summary:
Job Description/Overview:
This position is responsible for verifying the trade details, monitoring pricing, and updating our various trading systems with actual movement details based on receipt of supporting documentation. Candidate must demonstrate the ability to follow instructions and problem solve, possess good follow-up skills, and know when to escalate any issues and to whom. Should be able to have the ability to look beyond specific tasks and ask questions relevant to their job function and demonstrate the use of sound judgment in decision-making
Job Responsibilities:
- Communicate with Schedulers, Traders and Middle Office to ascertain correctness of trade details, timing of product movement, and resolution of trade discrepancies
- Process invoices for payment and receipt
- Check pricing, prepare and send invoices for provisional and final settlements
- Ensure correct banking instructions are applied to payments
- Validate and enter new SSI into Fenergo with accordance to the approved process
- Create and submit the settlement packets for payment and forecast
- Contact counterparts to obtain confirmation of daily cash receipts. Follow up on cash fails.
- OTC settlement analysis, preparation of invoices and credit notes; confirmation of settlements.
- Process FX Settlements, when required.
- Special projects upon request by management
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree. Business, Accounting, or Finance degree highly preferred
- Minimum 2-4 years experience, preferably in commodities
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (v-look ups, formulas, pivot tables)
- Sound decision-making skills and the ability to work with little supervision
- Must be flexible with work hours
- Coding experience a plus
The salary range for this position is $75,000 - $90,000. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications, work location, operational needs and other considerations permitted by law
