Hartmann Young are partnered with a full-service Clinical CRO (Phase I–IV) to appoint a Director of Business Development.
The Director of Business Development drives revenue growth by securing new client partnerships, leads strategic sales activities, builds long-term relationships, and promotes the organisation’s end-to-end clinical trial capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the business development strategy across Phase I–IV clinical services.
- Identify, engage, and win new client opportunities within pharma, biotech, and related sectors.
- Lead proposal development, bid defence meetings, and contract negotiations.
- Partner closely with operational leaders to align capabilities with client needs.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline, deliver accurate forecasting, and drive sustained revenue growth.
- Represent the CRO at industry events, conferences, and client meetings.
Requirements:
- Proven BD leadership experience within a full-service clinical CRO (5 years).
- Strong understanding of Phase I–IV clinical development and outsourcing models.
- Established network within pharma/biotech.
- Excellent commercial, negotiation, and communication skills.
