Description:
The Hartland Lakeside School District is seeking a part-time, second shift Custodian to maintain our school buildings. Position would be second shift when school is in session and first shift when students are on break. Regular shift is 4 hours per evening, 4:00-8:00pm.
This job includes school cleaning and minor building maintenance. The successful candidate will effectively complete cleaning tasks and other assigned projects. Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: wet and dry mopping, dusting, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, cleaning tile, emptying trash, window cleaning (interior and exterior), carpet cleaning, moving tables and desks, and following other district procedures. The candidate will be able to work independently and with a team.
Qualifications:
Must be 18 years of age.
1. Experience in custodial work and cleaning preferred.
2. Knowledge of basic custodial equipment and supplies.
3. Ability to work independently or in a group setting, establish and maintain effective working relationships with other district employees.
4. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the district may find appropriate and acceptable.
Working on assigned days and being on time is required.
Cleaners must be able to accept direction and work independently yet work as a team with other cleaners and custodians when help is needed. Cleaners must comply with all district safety practices and the proper use of chemicals and cleaning equipment. Pride in your job maintaining the building in a safe and attractive manner is a must!
Must pass a physical and background check.
