What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Supervisor position at HARTFORD CITY PAPER LLC?
The Maintenance Supervisor is required to manage the daily operations of hourly maintenance personnel in a safe, effective and efficient manner in compliance with company policies and procedures
What you will do:
- Supervise mechanical and electrical team members to safely and successfully complete all tasks.
- Assist/perform work necessary to maintain mechanical, electrical, plumbing and special systems
- Assist the Planner/Scheduler with assessment, prioritization and assignment of personnel to work orders.
- Inspect completed work for conformance to blueprints, specifications, and standards.
- Ensure all work assignments are completed by established deadlines.
- Assist with the development and implementation of internal processes that will facilitate continued improvement within the department.
- Participates in the company Root Cause Analysis (RCA) Program.
- Enforce company policies and safety regulations
- Responsible for inventory control and reporting of tools and consumable material for shop areas. (Includes items such as chain falls, lifting straps, power tools, welding supplies, pipe, fuses, etc.)
- Ensure monthly safety inspections on individual safety equipment are conducted and recorded turn in report form. (Harnesses, ARC flash gear. etc...)
- Responsible for ensuring housekeeping is completed daily in high traffic areas and weekly in limited access areas.
- Required to participate in a rotation with the Maintenance Manager and Planner/Scheduler for afterhours maintenance related issues.
- Supervision of the Lock-Out-Tag-Out program procedures and confined space procedures.
What you will need:
- Experience working in a continuous manufacturing environment where safety, quality, and machine availability are the key drivers for success.
- Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) such as Maximo.
- Must be able to read schematics, use meters, meggers, power analyzers, phase meters, and other test equipment to maintain and trouble shoot the electrical power systems, instrumentation, PLCs and equipment in the plant.
- Experience with Distributed Control Systems (DCS).
- Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC).
- Mechanical experience working with Hydraulics, Pneumatics, etc.
- Knowledge of Mechanical systems with respect to rotating and fixed equipment
- Must have strong demonstrated mechanical aptitude
- Knowledge of standard practices, methods, materials, tools, and equipment for mechanical systems
- Mechanical experience in repairing conveyors, cylinders, belts, pulleys, bearings, and gearboxes
- High School Diploma/GED
- Paper machine experience
