What are the responsibilities and job description for the Extra Board - HC position at HARTFORD CITY PAPER LLC?
Role Summary: A person who provides assistance to the operation/appearance of the mill. This is an entry level, general labor position. Principle hours of work will be day shift, Monday through Friday. Employees cannot bid down into this position.
What You'll Do:
- Able to work safely after receiving extensive safety training in all OSHA required subjects that relate to a paper mill manufacturing environment.
- Able to follow all established area SOP’s.
- Able to operate powered industrial vehicles.
- Complete a comprehensive powered industrial vehicle inspection.
- Complete training and safely demonstrate ability to perform assigned duties.
- Cleaning facilities, streets and walkways; clean dryer hoods daily; empty oil drums; maintain drains to ensure unimpeded operations; clean-up stock spills; power wash machinery; paint equipment and guards; assist the Conveyor Operator as necessary; set up to the Utility, Conveyor, and Scale Operator position.
- Support outages as required.
- Able to provide assistance to:
- Conveyor Operator – loading the conveyor and moving trash dumpster as necessary.
- Foreman – Miscellaneous work as necessary. Able to work independently in a remote area and provide feedback to the Foreman with good communication skills as problems arise.
- Provide the Foreman with work orders needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Schedule: 4 days on Day Shift (7am – 7pm), 4 days off, 4 nights on Night Shift (7pm – 7am), 4 days off. On the 4 days coming off your day shifts, you are subject to the call-in schedule.
