Harter's Disposal is a family owned, multi-generation, and growing company. We currently have several open opportunities for CDL Drivers. We seek drivers who are able to work in a fast-paced environment. Driver's are home every afternoon with very competitive compensation packages. Harter's is seeking drivers in Residential, Roll Off, and Commercial lines of business.
Job Summary: Safely operates a heavy-duty truck to perform assigned duties on various commercial, and residential routes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs pre- and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle utilizing standard DVIR (Driver Vehicle Inspection Report); notes all issues on DVIR form for corrective review/repair.
- Immediately reports any unsafe situations or service calls to Route Manager or Dispatch before attempting service.
- Performs all duties as scheduled by Route Manager or Dispatch, assisting other company drivers as directed.
- Completely dumps all containers and leaves the customer’s location clean and free of debris.
- Follows route assignments throughout the day and completes all documentation when checking-in at the end of the route.
Qualifications :
- Minimum of a Commercial Drivers License B (CDL) with air-brake endorsement.
- Must be 21 years of age.
- Eligible to legally work in the United States.
- Acceptable driving record required.
