Position: Admissions Coordinator
Hours: Thursday-Saturday 8pm-8am
Applicants must have excellent verbal/social skills, customer service, and be able to multitask. Must be able to communicate effectively with families and referral sources. Must have excellent computer skills, proficient with our EMR system, and be a critical thinker.
Job duties include but are not limited to the following:
· Confer with physicians, nursing and other hospital staff members and external parties to coordinate and schedule the admission of a patient.
· Interview19s patient and parent/guardian to obtain personal and financial data to determine eligibility for admission.
· Interfaces effectively with HMOs
· Gather and process admission data in a timely fashion.
· Performs duties in a timely and efficient manner.
· Demonstrates courtesy and helpfulness toward patients, their families and referral sources.
· Information given is accurate and complete.
· Messages taken are accurate. The appropriate message forms are used.
· Respects the dignity, confidentiality, and privacy of patients.
Job Type: Full-time
