Job Summary
We're currently seeking an Admissions/Clinical Support Nurse (RN/LPN) to join our nursing team.
This position plays an important role in supporting the nursing department and ensuring patients receive safe, timely, and compassionate care. The Admissions and Clinical Support Nurse will complete the nursing components of the admission and discharge processes while providing clinical support to the nursing team as needed. Duties
- Complete the nursing portion of the patient admission/discharge process
- Perform comprehensive physical and mental health assessments
- Administer medications and monitor patient responses
- Complete nursing documentation accurately and timely
- Provide nursing coverage and support for staff breaks
- Assist with filling nursing staffing shortages as needed
- Provide clinical support to nurses and the interdisciplinary treatment team
- Perform crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, and other members of the interdisciplinary treatment team
- Monitor patient safety and therapeutic progress
- Provide patient education and support throughout the treatment process
- Assist with maintaining a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment
- Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) and performance improvement initiatives
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered psychiatric care
