Duties

• Lead and supervise all aspects of gas station operations, including cashiering, fueling, and retail sales.
• Manage staff scheduling, training, and development to ensure high performance and excellent customer interactions.
• Oversee inventory management, stock replenishment, purchasing, and merchandising to maximize sales opportunities.
• Implement effective pricing strategies and promotional campaigns to boost revenue and customer engagement.
• Maintain accurate cash handling, bookkeeping, payroll processing, and store financial records.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, health regulations, and environmental standards at all times.
• Utilize POS systems for transactions and monitor retail math to optimize store profitability.
• Conduct employee orientation sessions, interviews for new hires, and ongoing performance evaluations.
• Handle customer inquiries with professionalism using excellent phone etiquette and communication skills.
• Drive marketing initiatives to attract new customers while fostering loyalty among existing patrons.

Experience

• Proven management experience in retail or convenience store environments with supervisory responsibilities.
• Demonstrated expertise in inventory control, purchasing, and merchandising strategies.
• Strong background in sales management, budgeting, and retail math applications.
• Bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly desirable for effective communication with diverse customer bases.
• Experience with POS systems, cash handling procedures, payroll administration, and bookkeeping is essential.
• Prior assistant manager or supervisory experience in a grocery store or retail setting is preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills combined with leadership qualities such as motivation, team management, and training & development capabilities.
• Familiarity with marketing techniques specific to retail environments including promotional planning and merchandising displays.
