Position Title: Community Engagement Manager

FLSA Status: Full-time, Exempt

Immediate Supervisor: Director of Community Impact

Employees Supervised: Supervises Partner Engagement Coordinators, Retail Coordinators, Service Insight Coordinator, Data Analyst (Engagement), Rural Program Specialist.

Position Summary: Oversees the recruitment, engagement, capacity building, and sustainability of the relationships with Harry Chapin Food Bank (HCFB) agency and retail partners. Ensures program compliance with State, Federal, HCFB, and Feeding America requirements and criteria.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Mentor, support, and develop the HCFB partner agency network to include HCFB programs throughout the five-county region.

· Collaborate with the Operations department to support food sourcing strategic plan.

· Collaborate with the Development department on donor store recognition plans.

· Utilizes the Map the Meal Gap and food insecurity rates to develop programming.

· Work with the Programs department staff to ensure equitable distribution of food throughout the five-county service area.

· Seek, recruit, and process agency partner applications utilizing map the meal gap data to identify high need areas.

· Conduct annual training conference/agency summit for agency partners.

· Oversee the planning, and execution, of agency partner training.

· Ensure Agency Partner Compliance with Network Standards

· Manage Agency Information. Oversee the entry, organization, and maintenance of agency data in both database systems and hard copy files, ensuring data accuracy, security, and easy accessibility.

· Supervise the development of agendas, coordinate, and conduct regular meetings for each county to facilitate communication, address concerns, and promote collaboration.

· Monitor materials and forms to ensure that they are in compliance with HCFB, Feeding America, State, and Federal regulations and make recommendations for updates.

· Oversee SIMCI (Strategic Inventory Management and Customer Insights) Implementation with Agency Partners

· Lead the development and execution of agency partner surveys to gather valuable feedback.

· Work with agency partners and donor partners to increase network engagement, distribution capacity and ensure effective distribution models.

· Field agency and neighbor concerns and follow up as necessary. Proactively field concerns from agency partners and neighbors, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution.

· Process and record partner agency suspensions and reinstatements in accordance with organization criteria.

· Liaison between partner agencies and the Food Bank.

· Provide reports and documentation on a regular basis.

· Conduct periodic internal file reviews on partner agency files to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.

· Attend various networking and professional meetings and maintaining records as necessary.

· Attend work group meetings as needed

· Perform other related duties and assignments as required.

· Must be a self-starter who is driven and capable of keeping track of multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

· Ability to build relationships with others

· Ability to perform physical labor as necessary to assist in achieving HCFB Mission.

· Valid Florida driver’s license.

Specific to Position:

· Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in related field required; may be replaced with comparable experience.

· Minimum three years of relevant experience in non-profit, human services or client relations.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Ability to work independently and effectively

· Strong attention to detail

· Obtain and maintain Food Safety Management Certification

· Requires public speaking and presentations to various audiences.

· Ability to work independently and effectively.

· Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

· Ability to lift, carry, and/or pull at least 20 lbs.

· Sensitivity to diversity and the ability to work with people of different nationalities, ethnic origins, and socioeconomic levels is essential.

· Operate a personal vehicle on a daily basis to community partner sites, meetings and events.

· Bilingual ability in Spanish or Haitian Creole is highly desirable.

Working Conditions: The Community Engagement Manager is expected to travel extensively in order to monitor and support HCFB Partner Agencies in our five-county service area. In order to satisfactorily perform the monitoring duties, it is required that the PRM be willing to inspect unclean and/or infested areas to assure compliance with food safety criteria.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $58,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
