We are looking at growing our US team by employing an Architectural Technician / Drafter with design experience to join our growing team. We specialize in restaurant and bar design, supporting local, national, global brands including celebrity chef driven concepts.
A Revit Technician works under the direction of others to help develop creative design concepts for projects and prepares presentation and design drawings. A Revit Technician may work on any/all phases of development including Pre-Design, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents and Construction Administration. She/he reports to the Team Project Manager on tasks and deliverables and works directly with her/him to ensure the facilitation of a project’s completion; on-time, on/under-budget, and meets HARRISON’s quality standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Work with other team members in the development of projects from briefing to completion.
- Engage with Architects and Designers who will supervise project designs.
- Develop technical and creative solutions to challenging design issues using 3D modelling in REVIT.
- Create high quality construction documents and millwork details in REVIT.
- A working knowledge of AutoCAD is also preferable.
- Complete schedules of FFE and materials.
- Quality assurance and control of construction documentation / red lines.
- Ensure Building Code, ADA and other legislation is adhered to during all stages of the construction process.
- Willing to travel domestically for meetings and surveys.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong collaborative and interpersonal ability
- Expertise in time management and the ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to understand technical drawings and plans
- 5 years experience desirable
- Keen attention to detail
The applicant should be organized, detail oriented, self-motivated, enthusiastic, and willing to take on a variety of tasks. Strong verbal and written communications skills, time management and the ability to multi-task will be required.
