Job Summary
Serves as District Administration Building Receptionist, provides clerical support to the Human Resources Department and receptionist support to all district campuses and departments.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Receives and directs incoming telephone calls and directs inquiries and messages to proper destinations throughout the District. Serves as the primary contact for District immediate response network. Greets and interacts with District customers, visitors, and vendors.
- Schedules and performs fingerprinting for new employees. Assists with fingerprinting for additional individuals as needed.
- Provides translating support, written and verbal, to departments located at the District Administration Building location.
- Provides clerical support to the department as needed, which includes, but is not limited to, data entry; coordinating meeting arrangements; ordering and inventory of office supplies, verification of employment, running background checks; I-9 E-Verify and scanning and filing.
- Complete special projects as assigned.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent, plus specialized technical courses in business, vocational school, or community college related to the position.
- Specific courses include office procedures, typing, and keyboarding.
- Fluent in Spanish preferred.
- Over two years and up to and including three years of front office experience in a customer service environment.
- Strong oral and written communication and customer service skills.
- High level of professionalism.
- Ability to treat others with respect, work with integrity and ethics, and demonstrate teamwork skills.
- Must have basic writing, math, and computer skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job and diffuse and manage volatile and stressful situations.
- Criminal background check and District fingerprinting required.
