What are the responsibilities and job description for the 2026-27 Assistant Oral Interpretation Coach (open until filled) position at Harrisburg High School?
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education.
Experience: None.
Physical Requirements: Eye-hand, mind-eye coordination, physical dexterity, the ability to bend, stoop, walk, talk, and sit. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position.
Other Requirements: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Human relations, time management and organizational skills required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & DUTIES:
- Assists in supervising and advising at oral interpretation practice and competitions.
- Assists in determining and monitoring eligibility of all members.
- Operates within District, Conference, and SDHSAA policies.
- Supervises students while traveling.
- Maintains, issues, and inventories materials.
- Assists the Oral Interpretation Coach with the budgeting and material requisition process.
- Attends meetings as required.
- Completes paperwork as required.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
