We are seeking a dedicated Deli Bakery Assistant Manager to join our dynamic team. This role involves overseeing daily bakery and deli operations, ensuring food quality and safety standards are maintained, managing staff, and delivering excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive food industry experience, and a passion for culinary excellence.
Duties
- Supervise daily bakery and deli operations to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality food production
- Lead staff training initiatives on food preparation, safety protocols, and customer service standards
- Oversee inventory control, including ordering supplies, stock rotation, and minimizing waste
- Manage POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for transactions, reporting, and sales analysis
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards in all food handling areas
- Assist in shift management by scheduling staff, monitoring performance, and resolving operational issues promptly
- Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate goals, provide feedback, and foster team development
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or kitchen management within quick service or fast food restaurants
- Demonstrated leadership skills with previous supervisory or assistant manager experience in the food industry
- Knowledge of POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS
- Strong understanding of inventory control, food safety management, and food handling procedures
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to train staff effectively and manage team dynamics
- Basic math skills for cash handling, budgeting, and profit/loss analysis
- Hospitality management experience with a focus on customer service excellence
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
