Job Summary:
The Verizon Innovative Learning STEM Achievers is a STEM-based program that provides services to middle school students from underserved and under resourced areas. This program will take place on the Harris-Stowe State University campus in a 3-week experience from June 08, 2026-June 26,2026. Applicants must be available to work the entire duration of the camp from 7:30-3:30 Monday-Friday. We are seeking motivated individuals who aspire to make a positive impact in the lives of the program participants. The college interns will collaborate with VIL team to teach 3D printing to middle school participants. During the Spring Semester leading up to camp, college student interns will receive paid training.
**Please note, this position does not include housing. If selected for this position, student intern will be responsible for living arrangements and transportation to campus each camp day.**
Essential Functions:
- Teach 3D Printing Pathway
- Assist with STEM Activities throughout the day
- Work with middle school campers
Minimum Education and Experience:
- Currently enrolled at a 4-year institution with a minimum 2.5 GPA
- STEM or Secondary Education major preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Punctual and responsible
- Strong character and coachable
- Effective communicator (written and verbally)
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines as required
- Must be a self-starter who works well in a fast-paced, dynamic, team-oriented, and culturally diverse environment
- Demonstrated ability to build rapport in developing meaningful relationships with students and colleagues
- Ability to focus on results and commit to excellence

Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to lift, carry, push, and pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body
- Light Work usually requires walking or standing to a signification degree
Working Conditions and Environment:
- Work is routinely performed in a typical interior/office environment
- Very limited or no exposure to physical risk
