Essential Functions:
- Design, develop, integrate, and test software applications and systems in support of program requirements
- Write clean, maintainable code using languages such as JavaScript, Python, Java, or similar
- Participate in software requirements analysis, design reviews, and code reviews
- Support debugging, troubleshooting, and resolution of software defects throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams including systems, hardware, and test engineering
- Document software designs, test procedures, and technical specifications in accordance with program standards
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, there is a minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.
- Must be eligible and able to obtain a Secret clearance
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Active US Secret security clearance preferred
- Experience with at least one programming language such as C , Python, or Java
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid)
- Familiarity with version control tools such as Git or Subversion (SVN)
- Exposure to Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools or software modeling
- Experience working within a defense or government contracting environment
- Knowledge of software security practices and secure coding standards
- Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines
- Experience with automated testing frameworks or test-driven development (TDD)
