The Software Engineer will work with cross-functional engineering teams to develop and assess software interfaces, operational performance requirements, and overall system design. - Participating in all phases of the software development life cycle, creating software test procedures, developing software programs, preparing related documentation, conducting peer reviews, identifying, tracking, and resolving software defects
- Clearly and succinctly convey information and ideas
- Collaborate effectively with small teams of software engineers
- Develop software as a Java full stack engineer
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.
- Ability to obtain a Security Certification in less than 60 days
- Ability to obtain a US Secret security clearance
- At least 2 years of experience in software development with a focus on Java full stack development
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Knowledgeable in the full software development lifecycle from requirements elicitation to deployment
- Strong written and verbal skills
- Strong organization of open software tasks
- Understanding of software engineering principles and industry best practices, including Agile development
- Ability to work in a team environment to potentially include duties in other technical disciplines
- Experience with Apache NiFi
- Experience with RabbitMQ message broker
- Experience with relational databases
- Knowledge of asynchronous programming
- Familiarity with source code repositories (e.g., GitLab)
- Experience with agile development tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence)
- Understanding of containerization and developing/deploying in containerized environments
- Knowledge of Tanzu and Docker
