What are the responsibilities and job description for the Valuation and Litigation position at Harris & Co Executive Search?
We are currently partnering with a growing advisory and consulting firm that is looking to add experienced Business Valuation professionals to their team due to continued growth and increasing client demand.
This opportunity is ideal for professionals with experience across business valuations within areas such as gift & estate tax, matrimonial/divorce matters, shareholder disputes, economic damages, and litigation support.
Responsibilities
- Perform and support business valuations for privately held companies across a variety of industries
- Prepare valuation analyses for gift & estate tax reporting, divorce proceedings, shareholder disputes, and damages calculations
- Assist with litigation support engagements and expert report preparation
- Analyze financial statements, tax returns, industry data, and economic trends
- Develop financial models and valuation approaches including income, market, and asset-based methods
- Communicate directly with clients, attorneys, accountants, and other stakeholders
- Contribute to practice growth and client relationship development
Requirements
- Experience within business valuation, forensic accounting, or litigation support
- Strong analytical and report writing skills
- Experience working within a public accounting, consulting, or advisory environment preferred
- Relevant credentials such as CPA, ABV, ASA, CFA, or progress toward certification is a plus
- Exposure to one or more of the following:
- Gift & estate valuations
- Divorce/matrimonial matters
- Economic damages
- Litigation support
- Fair value or financial reporting valuations
