** Office Engineer – Long Beach, CA **
A heavy civil contractor has mandated us on an Office Engineer role to support a major on-dock railyard expansion project at the Port of Long Beach
Responsibilities:
- Manage RFIs, submittals, and project documentation
- Track and process change orders, extra work bills, and pay estimates
- Support quantity tracking, cost reporting, and take-offs across trackwork, civil, and utility scopes
- Assist with CPM scheduling and milestone tracking
- Coordinate material testing, quality control documentation, and as-built drawings
- Interface with owner representatives, port authorities, rail inspectors, and JV partners on documentation and compliance
Requirements:
- 1–5 years of experience in heavy civil, rail, or port/marine construction
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- Working knowledge of construction documents, specifications, and drawings
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Primavera P6 or MS Project a plus
