Duties
- Establish and maintain relationships with shippers and carriers to ensure effective communication and service delivery.
- Utilize Transportation Management Systems (TMS) to manage shipments, track deliveries, and optimize routes.
- Analyze shipping data and trends to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
- Coordinate dispatching activities, ensuring that all shipments are scheduled accurately and timely.
- Manage the logistics of shipping and receiving processes, including documentation and compliance with regulations.
- Leverage GPS technology to monitor shipment progress and provide updates to clients.
- Collaborate with Trucking Companies providers to enhance service offerings and streamline operations.
- Utilize GIS tools for route planning and analysis to improve transportation efficiency.
Experience
- Proven experience in freight brokerage or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Experience in dispatching operations is beneficial.
- Ability to analyze data effectively to make informed decisions regarding shipping logistics.
- Proficiency in using transportation management systems (TMS) for tracking and managing shipments.
- Ability to use a computer and email effectively.
