General Job Responsibilities
- Support Engineering Management with assigned project-based work.
- Collaborate with department supervisors and leads to assist with engineering tasks and initiatives.
- Apply academic knowledge to practical engineering challenges and design activities.
- Assist in the development of CAD models, drawings, and basic design activities.
- Track and report project progress, including challenges, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to problem-solving discussions.
- Prepare and present a final internship report summarizing contributions, learning outcomes, and recommendations to enhance company internship programs.
- Basic understanding of mechanical engineering principles and components.
- Familiarity with mechanical design practices and engineering fundamentals.
- Experience with CAD/3D modeling software (e.g. AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time (7 hours per day).
- Occasional lifting, bending, and movement within an office or light industrial environment.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule as needed.
- Maintain professional, respectful, and business-focused interactions with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and handle job-related stress effectively.
- Support and assist the department manager on tasks and initiatives as assigned.
