What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pump Mechanic position at Harrington Process Solutions?
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on pumps and motors.
- Repair and rebuild various pumps, motors, and rotating assemblies.
- Diagnose mechanical issues and determine appropriate solutions.
- Work is primarily performed at our repair facility for the water and wastewater industry.
- Maintains tools and equipment; operates hand and power tools and shop equipment.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Have a minimum of two years related experience with pumps and motors in the field service or shop repair/rebuild areas.
- Knowledge of OSHA standards; ability to operate forklifts, aerial work platforms and other equipment.
- Required - Knowledge of pumps, motor controls and basic electricity.
- Excellent attitude and customer orientation.
- Must be insurable to drive company vehicles and pass a background investigation, physical evaluation, and drug screening.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Relevant certifications or qualifications.
