Job description
Medium sized Law Firm is seeking to hire an experienced legal assistant to provide a full range of support for two attorneys, including but not limited to, preparation/revision of correspondence, pleading and documents; e-file pleadings; calendar maintenance various office and client filing responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
· Provide support for two attorneys and backup support for other attorneys as needed.
· Prepare/revise correspondence, pleadings, documents and other office assignments as directed.
· Communications with clients, opposing counsel and court staff.
· Establish and maintain calendar and deadline reminder systems and adhere to all firm policies and procedures with regard to docketing of deadlines.
· Maintain calendars, CLE, reports and time records.
· Book and organize travel arrangements including flights, hotels, transportation, make changes to reservations as needed.
· Upon direction of an attorney, e-file documents with various courts; maintain court dockets and files and document via appropriate sources.
Qualifications/Skills required:
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· 5 years of relevant experience preferred.
· Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and complete them under time constraints.
· Excellent proofreading skills in order to review and edit legal correspondence and legal case documents.
· Ability to change and adapt to current and future responsibilities and circumstances.
· Punctual with excellent attendance.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as excellent proofreading skills.
Legal Assistant
· Ability to timely respond to deadlines, balance workload and take initiative.
· Proficient with Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Law firm billing experience is preferred.

Pay: $36,000.00 - $44,000.00 per year
