Construction Yard Attendant

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Yard Attendant to support daily operations by managing materials, maintaining inventory, and assisting with yard organization. This role is essential to ensuring materials are properly received, stored, and prepared for work crews.

Key Responsibilities

• Document all outgoing inventory, ensuring item, quantity, and job name are accurately recorded
• Assist with receiving shipments, unloading trucks, and storing materials in designated areas
• Monitor inventory levels and report needs to the Purchasing Manager
• Prepare and stage materials for pickup by work crews
• Sort and organize materials on racks, shelves, and in secured storage areas
• Maintain accurate inventory records (manual or computerized)
• Conduct bi-weekly physical inventory counts
• Keep all inventory clean, organized, and easily accessible

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred but not required
• Warehouse or construction yard experience preferred
• At least 1 year of forklift operating experience
• Experience operating small construction equipment is a plus
• Ability to perform physical tasks and move materials throughout the yard
• Strong communication skills with coworkers and management
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Basic problem-solving skills with the ability to escalate complex issues
• Ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively
• Strong sense of urgency and reliability in completing tasks
• Use of Apple ipad preferred
• Small engine repair experience preferred and compensated accordingly
