Leadership Role Supporting Adult Women with IDD
Harriet Residential Care) is hiring a House Manager to lead day-to-day operations in one of our homes supporting adult women with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). This role is ideal for a steady, people-first leader who enjoys building a strong team, maintaining a calm and well-run home, and ensuring supports are aligned with each resident’s Individual Support Plan (ISP).
What you’ll do
As House Manager, you’ll oversee daily home operations and provide on-shift leadership—making sure the home runs smoothly, staff feel supported, and residents receive consistent, respectful support.
Core responsibilities
On-shift leadership & resident supports
- Lead resident support on shift and respond promptly to needs, changes, and emergencies
- Maintain a safe, stable environment that protects dignity, privacy, and choice
- Monitor overall wellbeing and ensure supports align with ISPs
Team supervision & scheduling
- Supervise DSPs through clear delegation, coaching, and regular shift check-ins
- Manage schedules and coverage planning to maintain required staffing and safety standards
- Provide calm leadership during callouts and support coverage decisions as needed
Training, documentation & compliance
- Ensure documentation is accurate and completed on time (including MARs, incident reports, and shift documentation)
- Support staff training and consistency with program expectations and waiver requirements
- Maintain readiness for audits, drills, and compliance reviews
Home operations & environment
- Oversee household routines, cleanliness, and safety checks
- Coordinate meal planning and healthy home routines
- Maintain medication workflows (per policy), supply inventories, and ordering
- Support home audits, drills, and operational checklists

Requirements
- High school diploma/GED required (degree preferred)
- CNA or HHA required
- 2 years supporting people with IDD (supervisory experience preferred)
- Familiarity with DDS/DDA and HCBS Waiver standards
- CPR/First Aid (or ability to obtain)
- Strong documentation and incident reporting skills
- Flexible schedule availability as needed for leadership coverage
Pre-hire/onboarding: same items as noted (background checks, health inventory, orientation).
Schedule
- Full-time: 40 hours/week
- Schedule may include evenings/weekends
- Responsible for ensuring staffing coverage meets standards and safety needs, especially during callouts
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
