Personal Injury Litigation Associate

Location: North Bergen New Jersey

We are seeking a motivated and ambitious Personal Injury Associate Attorney to join our team. We provide five-star legal service through our commitment to Communication, Respect, Professionalism and Accountability. We are proactive and look to maximize our clients’ recovery and minimize the delays so many injured clients experience. This position is ideal for attorneys who have completed a clerkship or have 1-3 years of experience in personal injury litigation. The Associate will gain valuable experience in all aspects of personal injury practice. The Associate will make court appearances, write briefs, meet with clients, prepare discovery, attend depositions, argue motions in court, and, when ready, become a trial attorney.

• Drafts legal documents including routine pleadings and motions, affidavits, and interrogatories; files motions and pleadings according to judicial procedures.
• Researches and analyzes statutes, regulations, legal articles, judicial decisions, and other legal sources; provides written analysis to attorneys.
• Assists in discovery, including drafting interrogatories, obtaining documents, and attending depositions.
• Assists attorneys with trial preparation, which may include attending trials and hearings.
• Organizes and maintains case files and legal documents.
• Meets with attorneys, clients, and other professionals to discuss assigned cases or projects.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with court deadlines, schedules, and procedural requirements.
• Provides general administrative support to the legal team.
• Works with our bodily injury team, including our attorneys and paralegals, to give five-star service to our injured clients.
• Works well with assigned paralegals
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications

• Prior experience in personal injury litigation is a plus.
• Spanish language fluency a plus.
• Empathy for our clients is a must.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Strong desire to help others.
• Interest in becoming a trial lawyer.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Proficient in Lexis.
• Experience with Case Management Software is a plus.

Salary and Benefits

$90k to $120k; potential for bonuses after 90 days
