We are partnered with a rapidly growing critical infrastructure company developing complex electrical and electromechanical systems for data centers.
They’re looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to take ownership of system-level electrical design, ensuring components work effectively together within the overall product. This is a hands-on role spanning new product development, component selection, supplier evaluation, testing and validation, with the opportunity to help shape engineering processes.

Responsibilities 🔨
- Own system-level electrical design and new product development.
- Research, evaluate and select components and suppliers.
- Work across transformers, circuit breakers, circuit boards, current transformers, SPDs, fans, wiring and other electrical hardware.
- Ensure components integrate and perform effectively as a complete system.
- Develop component selection criteria and engineering processes.
- Partner with suppliers and quality teams on testing, validation and factory witness testing.
- Conduct hands-on lab-based testing and validation.
- Evaluate new technologies and components from an R&D perspective.
- Coach and support junior electrical engineers.
Qualifications 📑
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Min 5 years of electrical engineering experience.
- Strong system-level electrical design experience in the power equipment/power generation space
- Experience with electrical component selection, integration, testing and validation.
- Ability to understand how multiple components interact within a complete system.
- Experience working cross-functionally across engineering, quality, suppliers and manufacturing.
- Strong communication skills and ability to operate effectively within a growing team.
Nice to Haves
- AutoCAD experience.
- Knowledge of NFPA 70, UL, IEC, CSA, NOM and/or ANSI standards.
- Thermal management or heat transfer knowledge relating to electrical components.
- Experience developing component selection criteria and design standards.
