A rapidly growing organization is hiring a Lead Software Engineer to help drive its next generation of AI-powered software development initiatives. This position will play a critical role in modernising legacy systems, leveraging large language models to improve engineering productivity, and shaping the future of AI-assisted software delivery at scale.

This is a highly visible individual contributor opportunity with significant ownership, partnering closely with engineering leadership to influence technical strategy and lead one of the team's key product verticals.

Responsibilities

• Partner with engineering leaders to define technical direction and implementation strategy
• Develop and enhance AI-powered solutions that improve software development workflows
• Modernise and migrate legacy applications into scalable, maintainable architectures
• Design and implement full-stack applications using modern TypeScript-based technologies
• Evaluate, deploy, and improve AI agents for coding, code review, and software delivery processes
• Drive development towards specification-based engineering practices
• Contribute to production readiness through observability, monitoring, metrics, and alerting
• Lead technical initiatives across a cross-functional engineering organisation
• Collaborate with teams to validate system performance and reliability in production

Must-Have Qualifications

• 8 years of software engineering experience
• Advanced experience with TypeScript and modern server-side development frameworks
• Experience with technologies such as NestJS, Remix, OpenRouter, or similar platforms
• Proven exposure to AI, LLMs, AI-assisted development tools, or generative AI initiatives
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline
