BI Developer – Associate

Location: Wilmington, DE

Compensation: $120-130K Base Incentives

The Opportunity

A leading global organization is hiring multiple Associate-level BI Developers to join a growing analytics team focused on modernizing its enterprise Business Intelligence environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career BI, data, or analytics professional who wants exposure to a major BI modernization and cloud transformation initiative.

The team is moving away from legacy reporting infrastructure and transitioning dashboards and analytics products onto Sigma and a modern cloud-based data stack. With the migration still in its early stages, you'll have the opportunity to work across both the BI layer and the underlying data rather than simply maintaining existing dashboards.

What You'll Do

• Build BI Products: Develop dashboards, reports, curated datasets, and analytics solutions that help business teams make better decisions.
• Support BI Modernization: Help migrate legacy dashboards and reporting capabilities into a modern Sigma-based analytics environment.
• Work With Data: Manipulate, validate, and troubleshoot underlying datasets to ensure accurate and reliable reporting.
• Improve Existing Analytics: Help translate legacy business logic and metrics into improved analytics products rather than simply recreating old dashboards.
• Enable Self-Service Analytics: Support semantic layers, consistent data definitions, and tools that allow business users to explore data independently.
• Partner With Stakeholders: Work with business and technical teams to understand their questions and translate them into effective analytical solutions.
• Develop Technical Depth: Gain hands-on exposure to modern BI architecture, cloud data platforms, data quality, governance, and analytics delivery.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for candidates with a strong foundation in BI, analytics, data, or a related technical discipline who want to build deeper expertise across both visualization and the underlying data environment.

Strong candidates will bring:

• Experience with BI/dashboard development through professional work, internships, or academic projects.
• Exposure to tools such as Sigma, Tableau, Power BI, or similar BI platforms.
• Experience working with data using SQL or other data manipulation tools.
• Exposure to modern data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, or similar technologies.
• An understanding of how underlying datasets support dashboards and reporting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Interest in modern BI architecture, cloud analytics, and self-service reporting.
• Strong communication skills and an ability to understand the business question behind a technical request.

Experience or project work involving any of the following would be especially valuable:

• BI or dashboard migrations
• Legacy-to-modern technology modernization
• Sigma
• Databricks or Snowflake
• Semantic layers or self-service analytics
• Building dashboards from the underlying raw or transformed data through final visualization
• Troubleshooting data quality, business logic, or reporting discrepancies
