Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal to join our dynamic Intellectual Law (IP) legal team. Under minimal supervision, provides integral support to litigation attorneys in representing clients in patent, trademark, and copyright related litigation cases. Responsibilities
- Support document review, case file organization, and trial preparation.
- Assist in the preparation of legal documents such as briefs, pleadings, appeals, and other documentation.
- Ensure litigation dates are efficiently docketed, update files as necessary, and maintain client databases and status reports.
- Prepare ad-hoc reports.
- Coordinate and assist in discovery efforts including information gathering, document collection, review and production.
- Manage document production and electronic evidence during discovery.
- Assist with depositions (including preparation of deposition summaries), court hearing and trial preparation, trial site logistics and support.
- Research legal databases and evaluates pertinence of information.
- Proactively communicate and coordinate filings, scheduling of depositions, and preparation of documents.
- Provide general administrative support including data entry, filing, proofreading legal documents, and managing correspondence with clients and courts.
Requirements
- At least two years of litigation paralegal, preferably in an IP law firm.
- Bachelor’s or Master's degree in a related area or paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and/or related software, and the ability to effectively utilize various applications such as iManage, as well as legal research tools and resources.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while exhibiting a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks and deadlines for multiple client tasks at different stages of filing processes.
- Ability to demonstrate strong attention to detail, independently troubleshoot, professionally interact with others, and exceptional customer service skills.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to demonstrate good judgment and effectively prioritize tasks.
- Ability to perform efficiently, maintain high quality and quantity of work, and adapt to changes effectively.
Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
