Responsibilities
The Credentialing Specialist is responsible for provider credentialing duties. As a Credentialing Specialist you will:
- Gather, track, and process newly-hired provider’s credentialing documents
- Maintain practitioner credentialing / re-credentialing documentation
- Submit and oversee provider background checks with approved vendor
- Request, maintain, and terminate practitioner malpractice insurance coverage
- Responsible for state fingerprinting requirements
- Assist in auditing delegated credentialing functions
Qualifications
- Two or more years of experience working in a managed care, hospital, or medical office environment
- Two or more years of experience of provider multi state credentialing
- Proficient understanding of multi-state provider licensure, certification, collaborating agreements
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
