Responsibilities

- Support veterinary staff with animal handling, restraint, and basic care procedures.
- Help maintain cleanliness and organization of animal kennels, grooming areas, and treatment spaces.
- Provide pet sitting and companionship to animals in the shelter to reduce stress and promote well-being.
- Aid in pet grooming activities such as bathing, brushing, and nail trimming under supervision.
- Participate in animal care routines including feeding, watering, and monitoring health status.
- Support heavy lifting tasks related to moving supplies or animals safely within the facility.
- Engage with visitors by providing information about pet care and adoption processes in a friendly manner.
- Assist with administrative tasks related to animal records or volunteer documentation as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in dog training, pet grooming, or animal handling is highly desirable.
- Veterinary technician or veterinary assistant experience is a plus for supporting medical procedures.
