DISTRICT TECHNOLOGY ASSISTANT
12 Month Contract for the 2026-2027 School Year
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide first-level technical support to staff, teachers, and students for hardware, software, and network issues.
Assist in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of desktops, laptops, projectors, printers, smartboards, and other classroom technology.
Monitor and respond to IT support requests using a ticketing system.
Maintain an up-to-date inventory of IT assets, tracking deployments, repairs, and replacements.
Install and update software applications and operating systems across devices.
Assist with basic network maintenance, including connectivity troubleshooting and cabling.
Support classroom technology including AV Systems, Chromebooks, tablets, and digital learning tools.
Maintain user accounts and permissions in systems such as Google Workspace or Microsoft 365.
Ensure all systems follow school district data security and privacy protocols.
Collaborate with IT staff to support special projects, technology upgrades, and district-wide testing setups.
Assist in training sessions or user documentation for staff and students as needed.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
One (1) plus years of experience in a technical support or IT-related role.
Knowledge of Windows, macOS, and Chrome OS environments.
Familiarity with networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, printers, basic switching).
Strong problem-solving and customer service skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently under supervision.
Clear background check and compliance with school district employment policies.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
● Experience in a K-12 educational setting.
● Familiarity with Google Admin Console, mobile device management (MDM), or learning management
systems (e.g., Canvas, Schoology).
● A or other IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network , Google IT Support Certificate).
WORKING CONDITIONS:
● Maintain professional behavior, appearance, and work ethic to represent the Harmony Grove School District in a positive manner at all times.
● Occasional lifting of equipment (up to 40 lbs.)
● Travel between school sites within the district may be required.
● May require availability during off-hours for emergencies or special projects.
● Other duties as assigned.
